How the Tool Works

The ACFT calculator follows the official ACFT 3.0 scoring methodology with event-specific formulas and age/gender adjustments.

Formula Structure:
Each event score = Points based on performance relative to gender and age-adjusted minimum and maximum thresholds.

Deadlift Scoring (Maximum 100 points)

Sprint-Drag-Carry Scoring (Maximum 100 points) – Lower time is better

Male range: 120 seconds (100 points) to 210 seconds (0 points)
Female range: 130 seconds (100 points) to 220 seconds (0 points)
Age factors: 47-51 (1.05), 52-56 (1.10), 57-61 (1.15), 62+ (1.20)
Points = 100 − ((seconds − min) ÷ (adjusted max − min) × 100)

 

Leg Tuck Scoring (Maximum 100 points)

Maximum 10 repetitions = 100 points
Age/gender factors: Female (0.85), 47-51 (0.85), 52-56 (0.75), 57-61 (0.65), 62+ (0.55)
Adjusted max = 10 × gender factor × age factor (minimum 1)

 

Plank Scoring (Maximum 100 points)

Range: 60 seconds (0 points) to 150 seconds (100 points)
Age factors: 47-51 (0.92), 52-56 (0.85), 57-61 (0.78), 62+ (0.70)

 

2-Mile Run Scoring (Maximum 100 points) – Lower time is better

Male range: 780 seconds / 13:00 (100 points) to 1260 seconds / 21:00 (0 points)
Female range: 900 seconds / 15:00 (100 points) to 1380 seconds / 23:00 (0 points)
Age factors: 47-51 (1.05), 52-56 (1.10), 57-61 (1.15), 62+ (1.20)

 

Total Score:

Total = Sum of all 6 event scores (maximum 600 points)

 

Validation Behavior:

  • Values below minimum threshold return 0 points

  • Values above maximum threshold cap at 100 points

  • Invalid or negative inputs default to 0 points

  • Time inputs convert minutes and seconds to total seconds

Conditional Behavior:

  • Leg Tuck selected: Hides plank field, uses leg tuck scoring

  • Plank selected: Hides leg tuck field, uses plank scoring

  • Age group determines adjustment factors applied automatically

Edge Cases:

  • Times entered as 0 minutes produce calculation based on seconds only

  • Maximum leg tuck reps beyond 10 still cap at 100 points

  • Age groups below 47 use full (1.0) adjustment factor

Hand-Release Push-up: Male range 10 to 60 reps. (45 − 10) ÷ (60 − 10) = 35 ÷ 50 = 0.70 × 100 = 70 points

Sprint-Drag-Carry: Male range 120 to 210 seconds. (135 − 120) ÷ (210 − 120) = 15 ÷ 90 = 0.1667. Points = 100 − (0.1667 × 100) = 83 points

Leg Tuck: Male age 22-26 factor 1.0. Max 10 reps. 8 ÷ 10 = 0.80 × 100 = 80 points

2-Mile Run: Male range 780 to 1260 seconds. (870 − 780) ÷ (1260 − 780) = 90 ÷ 480 = 0.1875. Points = 100 − (0.1875 × 100) = 81 points

Total Score: 50 + 71 + 70 + 83 + 80 + 81 = 435 points out of 600

Result Interpretation:
